Cuba All Inclusive - Discover the Array of Festivals in Geneva


Yet one of the best ways to experience this city is through its various events and seasonal festivals - many of which occur during the summer. Boasting a colourful culture and intriguing history - all at the forefront of a stunning cityscape, geneva is a truly fascinating city.

Making it one of the most successful gatherings in the city, more than two million guests attended the Fetes de Geneve, last year. A highlight for guests of all ages, there's even a spectacular firework display each year! There's something for everyone to take delight on, so whether you plan to attend this festival with friends or with the entire family. And evenings full of house and techno music parties, a children's day, live concerts, this event features lakeside parades, one of the city's bigger festivals. One of Geneva's most famous events is the Fetes de Geneve - held 16 - 29 July.

Street entertainment and parades to present guests with some of the best cultural offerings from around the country, music, the festival's traditional wines are also accompanied by local cheeses. Improving their palates and wine-tasting skills, guests are invited to taste different wines. The wine festival hosts the top wineries in Geneva to celebrate the end of the grape harvest, held in September of each year. Another popular Geneva event is the Lake Geneva Wine Festival.

And come away with an experience to remember, horse and seal acts, come and witness the famous elephant! The Circus Knie puts on an irresistible performance for children and adults alike, and a three-week residence at Geneva's Plaine de Plainpalais each year, with a 200-year history. A third event that's well-established in Geneva is the Swiss National Circus Knie.

As well as to partake in dancing and musical fun, this event offers guests the opportunity to taste some 150 delicious locally-grown wines, just outside Geneva, hosted in the little village of Russin. The Fete des Vendanges Russin festival - taking place 19 - 20 September - is yet another well-known wine harvesting event held in the region each year, alongside the Lake Geneva Wine Festival.

To colourful installations and the visual arts, this event hosts everything from contemporary dance and classical drama, held at more than 20 venues across the city. Welcomes some of the finest local and international performers to Geneva, held 28 August - 12 October, the La Batie Festival, finally.
